Aster novae-angliae ‘Harrington’s Pink’ is a graceful, late-flowering aster producing masses of soft pink, daisy-like flowers with warm golden centres. Blooming from early to mid-autumn, it brings a gentle wash of colour to the border just as many plants are beginning to fade.
Typically taller and more robust than Aster novi-belgii types, this New England aster forms strong clumps with slightly coarser foliage and excellent weather resistance. Ideal for the middle or back of borders, ‘Harrington’s Pink’ combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-season perennials, while the nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
