Tradescantia ‘Bilberry Ice’ is a graceful and free-flowering perennial producing soft lavender-blue flowers with delicate pale tones that give the plant its distinctive “frosted” appearance. The blooms open through late spring and summer, each lasting only a day but replaced continuously so the plant remains in flower for weeks.
Forming neat clumps of arching green foliage, this reliable spiderwort works beautifully towards the front of borders, in naturalistic planting, or threaded through cottage garden schemes. Like many Tradescantia, it is valued for its easy nature and long flowering season, providing colour at a time when early summer borders are beginning to build momentum.
