Potentilla ‘Gloire de Nancy’ is a distinctive, old garden cultivar producing rich orange-red, fully double flowers, often marked with warmer golden tones and streaking towards the centre. Flowering from late spring into summer, the layered blooms are carried above low mounds of finely divided, strawberry-like foliage.
Unusual among herbaceous potentillas for its double form and depth of colour, this variety brings a slightly vintage, almost rose-like quality to the front of borders. Its warm tones combine well with blues and purples, while its compact, spreading habit makes it well suited to edging, gravel gardens, and informal planting.
