Actaea atropurpurea — A dramatic perennial featuring tall spikes of fragrant,  fluffy, white bottlebrush flowers that bloom in late summer to early autumn, above lush, deep purple, almost black stems and foliage. Elegant yet architectural, it brings height and contrast to shaded or woodland borders, thriving in naturalistic plantings while attracting pollinators with its late-season blooms.

☀️ Position: Partial shade to full shade
🌿 Soil: Moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil
💧 Watering: Moderate; keep consistently moist
🧤 Spacing: 60–90 cm apart
✂️ Maintenance: Cut back after flowering; divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour
