• Plant now to enjoy delicate blue-green flower plumes from June to July, with peak flowering generally occurring during June.
Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’ is a compact evergreen ornamental grass forming neat cushions of intensely silvery-blue, fine-textured foliage. Its naturally rounded habit makes it ideal for the front of borders, rock gardens, gravel gardens and containers, where the foliage provides colour throughout the year.
Exceptionally drought tolerant once established and happiest in well-drained soil, ‘Elijah Blue’ is particularly effective when planted in groups. The delicate summer flower spikes rise above the foliage before fading to warm golden-brown, adding an extra layer of texture and movement.
