Helenium ‘Rubinzwerg’ is a long-established and much admired late-summer perennial, producing rich ruby-red daisy-like flowers with warm brown centres. Flowering from mid to late summer, the blooms are carried in generous clusters above upright stems, creating a strong splash of colour just as many borders are reaching their peak.
Compact for a helenium, ‘Rubinzwerg’ forms sturdy clumps that hold well without excessive staking. Its glowing red tones combine beautifully with ornamental grasses, asters, rudbeckia and other prairie-style perennials, making it an excellent choice for naturalistic planting as well as traditional herbaceous borders.
