Geranium phaeum ‘Samobor’ is a distinctive woodland cranesbill valued as much for its foliage as its flowers. The softly lobed leaves carry bold, dark maroon blotches, creating interest from early spring onwards. In late spring and early summer, slender stems carry nodding, dusky purple flowers that hover lightly above the foliage.
Naturally suited to partial shade, this reliable perennial forms relaxed clumps and works beautifully in woodland gardens, under shrubs, or woven through mixed borders. Tough, adaptable, and quietly ornamental throughout the season, ‘Samobor’ is also attractive to early pollinators. Pairs well with other sun-loving perennials
