Nepeta cyanea

Nepeta cyanea is a charming, low-growing perennial producing soft spikes of clear blue flowers above aromatic grey-green foliage. Flowering from late spring into early summer, the blooms create a gentle haze of colour that blends beautifully through sunny borders.

Compact and naturally spreading, this attractive catmint works well at the front of borders, in gravel gardens, and along paths where its relaxed habit can soften edges. Easy to grow and drought tolerant once established, Nepeta cyanea is also highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
